Googler or Yahooligan?

For the past few years I have tended to turn to Google when ever I needed some stand functionality like a photo gallery, blogging software, and particularity maps. Google seemed to give me everything I needed for free.
After using the APIs more and more I found how limiting they are and I starting looking for something else. The APIs aren't functional enough to create apps as fully functional as mine and due to some commercial restrictions they aren't usable for all projects.
I recently switched my photo gallery from Google's Picasa to Yahoo's Flickr and I'm currently in the process of moving from one of my map applications from Google Maps to Yahoo Maps.
It seems Yahoo has more full featured and commercially usable APIs than Google does. Next time I'm looking for an API perhaps I'll just start with Yahoo. I wonder if they have a Blogger alternative.
Am I becoming a Yahooligan? Who'da thunk it?
